Kristine L. Kimble

Kristine L. Kimble, age 82 of Kalamazoo, died on November 13, 2024. She was born on December 6, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Maximillian and Anne (Boyce) Krause. She grew up in Chicago and moved her family to Michigan in 1978. Kristine excelled in many crafts including ceramics, crocheting and dollhouse building but her deepest passion was raising her poodles. Kristine was hardworking and hard playing with a fiery spirit, all the while raising 7 children. On January 17, 1987, Kristine married Richard Kimble and they shared 20 years together, until his death in 2007. Kristine had a spicy sense of humor and told you like it was. Her charm and vigor will always be remembered, she was one of a kind and she will be missed. 

Her family includes her children: Linda (John) Howe, Laura (Jim) Swiatnicki, Judy Nowak, Dale (Kate) Johnson, Louise (Scott) Felde, Michael Morgan, and Kendra (Craig) Wendt; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Jerry, Mickey, Billy, Jean, and Mary Ellen, and her son Elzygene.
