SMITH, Kevin James
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Sunday morning, May 25, 2014 on Mackinac Island. Kevin was born March 23, 1978 in Kalamazoo, MI the son of Keith and Ann Torian Smith. He enjoyed spending springs and summers working on Mackinac Island at the Grand Hotel and various other venues. The fall and winter months Kevin would travel to Colorado, or Utah to work at winter vacation destinations. On his seasonal breaks he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Kevin was a movie buff and enjoyed playing video games. He also studied and competed in martial arts at the black belt level. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Keith. He is survived by; his mother, Ann Steve Pacic; a brother, Brian Smith; grandmother, Geraldine "Gerry" Torian; and grandparents, Robert Shirley Luckey, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be held at Haven Reformed Church, 5350 North Sprinkle Rd, Monday, June 2, 2014, at 1:00pm. Private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Humane Society or the ASPCA. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick.
