FRANCISCO, Kevin G.
of Kalamazoo Kevin died unexpectedly August 3, 2011 at his home due to complications from diabetes. Kevin was born September 28, 1957 to Joseph and Mary Lester Francisco. He graduated from Kalamazoo College and Ferris State College of Pharmacy and had been a practicing pharmacist in the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek area for over 20 years. Kevin had many interests and hobbies including hunting, fishing, cooking, photography, Civil War history and music, especially Jazz and Blues. Kevin is survived by his siblings Barbara DeKam, Brian Cindy Francisco, Patricia Charles Hill, Michael Kimberly Francisco and brother-in-law James Magnan. Kevin has multiple nieces and nephews that he cared for dearly, especially Kelly Kocsis and Darrell Heather Markle. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Jo Francisco, Colleen Magnan, Maureen Kiewiet and brother-in-law Scott Kiewiet. Kevin's happiest times were spent barbequing with family and friends, hunting in Pennsylvania, fishing in Canada and attending Jazz Fest in New Orleans. Wherever he was he always had a good time and made good memories. He was very much loved and will be missed forever. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Thursday, 10am at Langeland Funeral Home, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street in Kalamazoo followed by a memorial service at 11am also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Kairos Dwelling.
