Kenneth Leslie Terpstra

Kenneth Leslie Terpstra, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 24, 2023. He was born June 4, 1940 in Kalamazoo to the late Simon and Lotta (Bloom) Terpstra.

Ken had an immense love for Jesus, his family, worshiping through song, golfing, and fishing. He was a member of the Singing Crusaders for over 25 years and played in a league at States Golf Course for even longer. His family was very important to him, and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren at Selkirk Lake.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Terpstra; and siblings, Robert Terpstra, Doris DeVries, and James Terpstra.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jacqueline “Jackie” Terpstra; children, Mark (Kimberli) Terpstra, Daniel Terpstra, Kristine (Nicholas) Schirripa, and Jennifer (Michael DenHartigh) Fullmer; daughter-in-law, Joan (Dale) Doezema; grandchildren Kelli (Brandon), Jacob, Matthew (Daltyn), Adam (Kelsey), Michael, Anthony, Hope, Annabelle, Katie, and Leslie; great-grandchildren Haley, Willow, and Nora; siblings, Louis Terpstra, Larry (Kate) Terpstra, Harold (Mardell) Terpstra, and Margaret Searles; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 5-8:00pm at Prairie Edge Church, 9316 Oakland Dr, Portage, MI 49024, where a memorial service will take place Thursday, June 29 at 11:00am.
