HEUSER, Kenneth A.
Of Texas Township Passed away Sunday afternoon, March 31, 2013. Ken was born September 3, 1930 in Hartford, MI the son of Eugene and Marjorie Rush Heuser and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army 4th Tank Division. Ken was a graduate of Michigan State University; and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and walking his dogs. Prior to his retirement he worked for 18 years with Jim Gilmore Pontiac as a master salesman. On March 27, 1954 he was united in marriage to his loving wife of 59 years, the former Keda Springsteen, who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Greg Shelly Heuser, Mark Colleen Heuser, Brad Tanya Heuser; grandchildren, Jason Heuser, Jon Briana Heuser, Molly and Amanda Heuser; a brother, Wallace Heuser; half brother, Earl Heuser; and several nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Pauline; grandson, Logan; and half brother, David. Services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, April 6, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
