Died Thursday morning November 7, 2019. Ken was born October 24, 1940 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Peter and Hazel (Payne) Hamming. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the City of Portage for 30 years, retiring in 2001. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John on June 9, 2006; and a brother, Wayne Hamming. On December 10, 1965, he was united in marriage to Joyce R. (Woodhams) Hamming who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Mary (Kenneth) Laws of Mattawan and Kenneth Hamming of Middleville, MI; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held 11 o'clock Thursday, November 14th in the Mt. Ever Rest Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
