Kenneth G. Cole, Sr

COLE, Kenneth G., Sr. Comstock Peacefully passed on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. Ken was born December 26, 1925 in Centerville, MI the son of Floyd F. and Ethel I. Kline Cole. He resided in Comstock for many years in the home he built for his family. He was a member of the Comstock United Methodist Church, played the organ, loved carpentry, gardening, golf, and most of all his family. During WW II he served his country in the United States Navy and was employed by James River Corp. as a production planner for 40 years. On June 23, 1950 he married the former Virginia Hills, who preceded him in death on June 14, 2004. He was also preceded by his brothers, Donald Cole and Eugene Cole; and a sister, Juanita Subacz. Ken is survived by his children, Kenneth G. Cole, Jr. of Columbia TN, David Colleen Cole of Comstock, Shirley Leon Myers of Marcellus, Thomas Jean Cole of Richland, Gary Molly Cole of Cooper Twp., Brian Cole of Comstock, William Cole of Kalamazoo and Clayton Marion Cole of Alamo Twp.; 22 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Dale Conolly; brother, Maurice Bonnie Cole; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Milwood United Methodist Church, 3919 Portage Rd. with Pastor Peggy Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway on Monday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Arbor Day Foundation.
