Kenlyn M. ''Gertie'' DeVries

DE VRIES, Mrs. Kenlyn M. Gertie Kalamazoo, MI Died Monday afternoon April 23, 2007 at her residence. Kenlyn was born September 15, 1937 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Roger and Clara Nowak Croy. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Howard Printing for 11 years before retiring. She recently was working for Elite Marketing. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LaRoy DeVries in 1981; and a sister, Janice Croy. She is survived by 4 children, Jeffrey DeVries, Gregory Cindy DeVries, Kim Bill Swim, and Dawn John VanderBerg all of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Roger Jackie Croy of Kalamazoo and Larry Lorraine Croy of Plainwell; 2 sisters, Darlene VandenBos of Kalamazoo and Veronica Stan Carra of Portage; an uncle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral Mass will be held 11 o?clock Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St. Visitation will be 6-8pm Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with the Rosary being recited at 6:30pm Thursday. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo or the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
