Kay F. Bower

BOWER, Kay F.
of Kalamazoo Passed away August 27, 2012 at the age of 78. Kay was born November 16, 1933 in Kalamazoo to the late Gaylord and Doris Gates Beason. She was united in marriage to Paul A. Bower on June 12, 1954. Kay loved animals and volunteered at Binder Park Zoo for many years. She also loved to travel and had many adventures in Ireland, England, Scotland and toured the U.S. many times. Surviving Kay are her husband, Paul; children, William Geneva Bower of Dimondale, MI, Bonnie Dave Garten of Portage, Steve Cyndee Bower of Kalamazoo and Mark Bower of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where services will be held Thursday at 11:00 o'clock, Pastor Scott Burdick officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Best Friends Animal Society or to Elephant Sanctuary.
