Kathy Tyson passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024, at the age of 72.
She was born in South Haven, Michigan, to the late Isaac and Mary (Marionneaux) Livingston, who were originally from Bangor, where she grew up and attended Bangor High School.
She is survived by her sisters, Sharon Williams and Shela (Stan) Bembry, two children, Danielle Livingston and John Gill, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Kathy, a dedicated Army veteran, devoted seven years of her life in honorable service to her country before transitioning into civilian life. Following her military career, she committed herself to serving her community in various impactful roles. As a CPR instructor for the American Heart Association, she played a crucial part in imparting life-saving skills at the Lakeland Regional Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan. Additionally, Kathy's compassion for the elderly led her to become a Home Health Care worker, providing valuable support and care to seniors in her local community. Alongside her primary responsibilities, Kathy also actively pursued side occupations, such as offering tax services and serving as a public notary agent, showcasing her diverse skill set and commitment to helping others.
Kathy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and listening to her harp music. She gave her heart to God and was very active in the church throughout her life. Kathy was mission-minded, pointing souls to God.
She was loved and will be missed by all.
