HOMOKI, Mrs. Kathleen
Kalamazoo Kathleen Homoki, age 82, died late Saturday evening, June 30, 2012. She was born September 16, 1929, in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of Anton and Anna Magul Varga and had been a lifelong area resident. Kathleen graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1947 and attended the National Tax Training School in New York. She was a member of the former Hungarian Reformed Church. Kathleen worked as a bookkeeper and tax preparer for Kalamazoo Creamery, H&R Block and several other local companies, retiring in 1988. Kathleen was an avid traveler, visiting all 50 states and many places in Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. Kathleen was preceded in death by: a son, Andrew C. Homoki; her parents; and two brothers, Anton G. Varga and Andrew J. Varga. On March 14, 1953, Kathleen was united in marriage with Albert Homoki, Jr., who survives. Also surviving are: a son, Albert A. Roberta Homoki of Spokane Valley, WA; a niece, Sharon Varga of Scotts; a great-niece, Shana Lutke and a great-nephew, Troy Lutke. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services. Arrangements made by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
