COOL, Kathleen Adda
Of Kalamazoo Passed away Saturday evening, April 14, 2012. Kathleen was born October 21, 1920 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late Roy and Myrtle Cortenhof McCrumb and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. She was a member of the Cooper Congregational Church, and enjoyed gardening and her pets. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On March 23, 1943, Kathleen was united in marriage to her loving husband Keith Cool who preceded her in death on July 17, 2004. She was also preceded in death by a son Ronnie Lee Cool; and a sister, Florence McConnell. Surviving are her children, Diane Don Gernaat, Lonnie Dorothy Cool, Randall Donna Cool, and Lauran Cool all of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren, David, Shawn, Katie, Melissa, Brian, Lesa; 6 great-grandchildren, Keagan, Logan, Arianna, Alexis, Malayna, and Cayden; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Muffin. A memorial service to celebrate Kathleen's life will be held at 11:00am Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Immediately following the service, there will be a luncheon in the Westside fellowship hall. Private interment will be held at a later date in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Cooper Congregational Church.
