Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Monday morning, January 21, 2008 at Borgess Nursing Home in Kalamazoo, Michigan, after losing a year-long battle with colon cancer. Kathy was born in Detroit on August 23, 1962 to Raymond J. and Louise M. Skiera Werda. She was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Finkey in August of 1989. Lloyd preceded her in death in July of 1996. Kathy loved animals, gardening and music. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Finkey; her mother; and sister, Barbara Jean DeQuin. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Millicent Ann Finkey; her father; and father-in-law, Jack Dickman. Funeral services for Kathy will take place on Friday, January 25th, 11:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God, 5550 Oakland Dr., Portage. Visitation will be at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, on Wednesday, the 23rd from 1-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday the 24th from 9-11:00 a.m. and 1-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family will accept donations to be used towards funeral expenses. Interment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery Chapel.
