of Vicksburg, Michigan Died May 23, 2013. Karolyn was born October 12, 1939 in Kalamazoo to the late Adon and Evelyn Bar Emig. Karolyn was united in marriage to James McDonald on June 24, 1961. Karolyn leaves behind, her husband, Jim McDonald of Vicksburg; children, Kevin McDonald of Vicksburg and Brian Sonjia McDonald of Schoolcraft; grandchildren, Robert, Sean, Patrick, Zackory and Miranda; daughter-in-law, Pat McDonald; brothers, Don Phyllis Emig and Jim Emig; sister, Sharon Hollis; and many nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, May 29th from 3-6 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. A private interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Borgess Gardens or to Reverence Home Care Hospice.
