OTSEGO Karilyn "Sue" Faye Skibbe Lick passed away, Sunday, November 4th, 2012, quietly in her sleep at the age of 58. Karilyn was born on July 17th, 1954 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Leonard and Phyllis Young. She passed away in her home in Otsego, Michigan. Sue lived a full life filled with love and compassion for her friends and family. Sue loved to teach and interact with children of all ages. Sue was an affiliate with the Fraternal Order of the Moose, Skills USA, Benton Harbor Public Schools, Grand Rapids Community College, and the State of Michigan Motorcycle Safety Training Program. Sue leaves behind her husband Steven of 15 years, her children Ken and Daisy, Andrew, and Kari. Grandma will be missed by her beloved grandchildren, Evan, Mason, and Jacob. Sue will not be forgotten by her siblings, Sharon, Leonard, Jackie, and Joseph. Sue loved and cared deeply of her family throughout the propitious and harsh times that life offers. She fought hard to keep family unity and values at the forefront of her life. A service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 8th, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 PM on Wednesday evening, November 7th, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to help with the cost of funeral services. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
