Of Kalamazoo, formally of Dowagiac, Michigan Began her journey Wednesday morning, September 10, 2008 while being held by her Son and Daughter. June was born June 6, 1922 in Chicago, IL the daughter of James and Regina Herdig Schiro. She was a consummate wife and mother, and dedicated herself to raising her family. She loved living at Dewey and Cable Lakes, as well as St Joseph and Naples, FL. On June 5, 1944 she was united in marriage to Waldo Woodworth who preceded her in death on October 28, 1998. June was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jacky Woodworth in 1986. Surviving are her son and daughter, Dr. James Woodworth of Arlington, VA, and Jeri Woodworth of Portage. A gathering of friends and relatives to celebrate June's life will be held Friday from 5-7pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Memorials may be directed to Heartland Hospice. www.langelands.com
