KELLER, June "Pearl"
of Gobles Passed away peacefully October 11, 2011, at home with her husband by her side. She was born in Chicago, IL to Albert and Lina Wahl Schultz on June 30, 1924. She moved to the Gobles area when she was three years old and lived in the area her entire life. Pearl graduated in 1942 from Gobles High. In 1950, Pearl married Russell Keller and lived on their potato and dairy farm near Kendall for 61 years. They had two children, Russell, Jr.Bonnie and Patricia; 3 grandchildren, Jessica and Ashley Harms, Scott Keller; one great-grandson, Ryan; a sister, Margaret Woger; and several nieces and nephews. In 1970, Pearl and her husband, brother-in-law and his wife built and owned Royal Estates Mobile Home Community on Ravine Road. During her lifetime she enjoyed her family, church, bowling, flowers, hummingbirds, deer in the backyard; and talked about the beautiful fall colors during her last few days. Pearl was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; and was loved by everyone who knew her. Services will be held at 11:00 Saturday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Interment will follow in Kendall Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the chapel. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
