June Bachelder

BACHELDER, June Kalamazoo Went to be with her Lord and Saviour on February 5, 2007 in Kalamazoo, MI. June was born June 12, 1920, in Plainwell, MI, the daughter of August and Laura Ginn DeWispelaere. She was a lifelong Kalamazoo resident and a member of the Sunnyside United Methodist Church where she was active on the Mission Committee. June was hardworking and had a very outgoing and dynamic personality. She was employed for 14 years at Temple Sheet Metal and later with K-Mart. June enjoyed being active. She was community minded and served as a volunteer with the American Red Cross, the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission and the Comstock Community Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard on April 26, 1987 and was also preceded by her parents and a sister, Josephine Felke. Surviving are 2 daughters; Sandra Donald Nagel of Kalamazoo and Judith Clark Hurlbert of Arizona; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00 o?clock Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street with the Rev. David Knapp officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in June?s memory may be made to the Kalamazoo Right to Life, the Sunnyside United Methodist Church, the American Heart Association or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
