Julie Ann McKinnon, aged 68, passed away on May 5, 2024, at Rose Arbor in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Julie was born on November 28, 1955, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to the late Meredith Lloyd and Betty Lou (Reynells) McKinnon. She graduated from Portage Northern High School. She continued her education at Davenport College.
Julie was not just a Purchasing Agent but a dedicated one, retiring from Edward Rose and Sons of Kalamazoo. She served as a Rainbow Lady for several years, showing her commitment to her community. Julie's passion for writing poems and her love for her faithful companion, her dog, Lucy, were testaments to her vibrant spirit. Her hobby of crocheting was a reflection of her creativity and patience.
Julie is survived by her loving son, Scott (Robin) McKinnon, who was always by her side. Her grandchildren, Hunter McKinnon, and Kelly Lynn (Mike) Alexander, brought her immense joy. Her great-grandchildren, Lalani Alexander, Greyson Alexander, and Bruce Wilson, were the lights of her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Cathy (Scott) Sabin and Carrie Fross, who shared a deep bond with her, including many nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded by her parents, grandparents, and brother-in-law, Chuck Fross, but their love and memories will always be with her.
According to Julie’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no public service will be held.
