Of Parchment, MI Julie died on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Kairos Dwelling, after a courageous year long battle with cancer. She was born on December 18, 1964, the daughter of the late James and Muriel Voss Gretzinger. She graduated from Comstock High School and worked in the Deli at Meijer on Gull Rd. for many years. She loved regular "guests" and enjoyed talking with them whenever they came into the store or when she saw them around town. Julie loved to read and was regular patron of the Barn Theatre, the Kalamazoo Concert Band and Kalamazoo Civic Theatre. She also loved the movies, especially the Marx Brothers comedies. Julie is survived by her sisters, Dianne Daniel of Parchment and Pamela and George Livingston of Portage; her niece, Megan and Jay Bridgeman and their daughter, Taylor all of Portage; her nephew, Darien and Kate Smith and their daughter, Ellie all of Portage; her aunt, Jean Kenbeek of Kalamazoo; and several cousins. According to Julie's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may meet with the family for a memorial gathering from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Private interment will take place at a later date in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
