Portage, Michigan Judy died early Sunday morning, August 10, 2008, in Kalamazoo. She was born June 13, 1942, in Ann Arbor, MI, a daughter of Elmer and Mary LaPointe and had lived in this area for most of her life. She retired after 25 years of dedicated service from Edward Rose and Sons. Judy was a former member of the Kalamazoo Jaycees and enjoyed being an active volunteer with the Kalamazoo Air Zoo and the Cheff Center. Judy was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are: two children, Jacquelyn Yale of Kalamazoo and Jeffrey Oscar Joseph of Galesburg; two grandchildren, Danielle M. Yale and Katherine L. Yale; two brothers, Fred Marcia LaPointe of Washington and Francis Lapointe of Bullhead City, AZ; two nieces, Shelly LaPointe and Christina Delaney, and her soul mate of 15 years, Chuck Zagon of Portage. Cremation has taken place. A friendship gathering and memorial service will be held Sunday, August 24, 2008, at Portage First United Methodist Church, 8740 S. Westnedge Ave. The friendship gathering will begin at 1:00 pm and the memorial service, lead by Pastor Greg Wood, will begin at 2:00pm. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions should be directed to the American Heart Association. Arrangements were made by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
