KAUP, Judith C.
Of Portage, Michigan Judy passed away early Friday morning, October 23, 2009 at Bronson Methodist Hospital following a short illness. She was born October 18, 1938 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of George and Martha White Knese. A 1959 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, she was employed as a nurse both in Cincinnati and Kalamazoo. Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert A. Kaup, Sr.; father, George Knese; mother and step-father, Martha and John Salzl; and beloved brother, Billy Salzl. Surviving are six children, Vicki Kaup of Portage, Lori Ron Kogler of Phoenix, AZ, Jennifer Kaup of Portage, Robert Jr. Sandy Kaup of Portage, Cassie Tim Kogler of Chesterton, IN, and Joe Kaup of Portage; eleven grandchildren, Makenna, Nicholas, Talor, Michele, Jonathan, Tony, Dan, Melissa, Nicole, Kyle, and Alaina; five step-grandchildren, Katie, Trevor, Lindsey, Delaney, and Quinn; great-granddaughter, Ava; one brother, Philip Betsy Salzl of Cincinnati; one sister, Jean Bob Andriot of Cincinnati; and a loving extended family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday at St. Monica Catholic Church, 534 W. Kilgore Road, with Fr. Arthur Howard celebrant. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM with a rosary at 7:30 PM on Sunday today at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street.
