Judith Caren Carlson-Jones

On Saturday, November 20, 2021, Judith Caren Carlson-Jones, devoted daughter, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loyal friend, passed away just a month before her 79th birthday.

Judith, lovingly referred to as Judi, was born in Lansing and raised in south-west Michigan. Shortly after finishing high school in Three Rivers Judi married Richard Melvin Jones in 1962 and raised two sons Richard Jones and John Jones.

Judi had a passion for collecting and was known for being a keeper of all the things. She was known for her love of hearts, hummingbirds, flowers, angels, and anything with the color purple. She had a zest for life and a childlike wonder that made her eyes sparkle and her laughter joyous.

Judi was preceded in death by her father John Charles Carlson and her mother Elaine Bell (Shaull) Carlson. She is survived by her two children, Richard (Connie) Jones, John (Nancy) Jones; her grandchildren, Rick (Sarah) Stevens, Kathryn (Jacob) Aseltine, Daniel Jones; her great granddaughter, Hadley Aseltine and several cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services 3926 S 9th St Kalamazoo, MI 49009 at 11:00 am, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Comstock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in memory of Judith.
