Kalamazoo, MI Died Thursday evening November 4, 2010 at her residence. Joyce was born November 13, 1934 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Herman and Jacqueline Watson Knowlton. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and owned and operated a Daycare for many years before retiring. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell A. Wood on February 3, 1997; a son, David Roy Wood; a daughter, Diane Kay Wood; and a brother, Buck Knowlton. She is survived by 2 daughters, Karen Joseph Lamons of Richland and Kimberly Jim French of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren, Annie, Benjamin, Hannah and Sarah Lamons, and Felicia and Matthew French; a great-grandson, Tanner; 2 sisters, Levita Otto and Frieda Warren Smith all of Portage; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 6-8pm Monday. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
