SHOUP, Joyce E.
Of Lawton, MI Joyce passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009. She was born June 20, 1918, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Roy and Ethel Maxson Carpenter. Joyce was employed for over 17 years with Meijer, Inc. and was a former member of the Comstock United Methodist Church. Surviving are her children, James Ruth Shoup of Deming, NM, Thomas Donna Shoup of Onsted, MI, Suzanne Miller of Lawton and Bruce Shoup of Memphis, TN; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, John and Allen. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 13 from 1-2 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street where a service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday. Memorials in Joyce's memory may be directed to Bronson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lawton, MI.
