Joyce Rosema (Rosema) Roach

Joyce Roach passed away peacefully and comfortably early Thursday Morning, February 17, 2022, after being with family and loved ones all day Wednesday. Joyce, the daughter of the late Maurice and Janet Rosema, was born June 6th, 1946, in Grand Haven, Michigan. Joyce earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan and was then a teacher for decades in both Georgia and Michigan where she taught in the Portage Public School System. Joyce loved to travel - she was on a trip in Spain as recently as November of 2021. She also loved reading, cooking and baking, and being with family, especially her children and grandchildren. Later in life, Joyce married her childhood friend, Barckley (Floyd) Roach, who she enjoyed life with until he passed in 2013.

Surviving Joyce are her sons, Michael and David Leeds; grandchildren, Nick, Eli, Lucas, and Zachary; Siblings, Shirley (Pat Maki) Rosema, Bruce (Sharon) Rosema, and Beth (Rosema) Warren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren, and friends. Preceding her in passing are her parents; Husband, Barckley; siblings, David Rosema, and Jane Ferrell; and nieces Sara Ferrell and Mikah Fitzpatrick.
