Kalamazoo Passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010. Joyce was born September 3, 1933 in Susquehanna, PA, the daughter of Elias and JennieMcKinney Clark and was a resident of the Kalamazoo area for several years. She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church, taught Junior Church and loved her family. On February 27, 1965, she married Rev. Jack Polstra, who survives. Joyce is also survived by their children, Gordon Pat Polstra of Kalamazoo, David Polstra of Los Angeles, CA, Philip Tamara Polstra of Dubuque, IA and Elizabeth Scott Tavernier of Three Oaks, MI; 5 grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Joan Clark of NY; sister, Shirley Sivers of Binghamton, NY; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Charles Polstra; and a brother, Ivan Clark. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., with Pastor Chuck Rawsthorne officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorials may be directed to the Faith Baptist Church of Mattawan.
