EISENBACH, Joseph J., PhD
Kalamazoo Dr. Joseph Eisenbach, 92, passed away on June 25, 2015, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late Joseph and Nora Millikan Eisenbach. He served in the U. S. Army in World War II. On February 1, 1948, he was united in marriage with Hope Colyer Eisenbach. Dr. Eisenbach earned his M. A. from Kansas State University and his Ph. D. from Wayne State University. He joined the faculty of the Special Education Department at Western Michigan University in 1961 and served as Department Chair until his retirement as professor emeritus in 1988. Dr. Eisenbach is survived by his wife, Hope; his daughters Lynette Glenn Roehrig, Lauretta Eisenbach, Debra Eisenbach, Barbara Esposito and Elizabeth Eisenbach, all of Kalamazoo; and grandsons Alex and Ryan Griffin and Carter Eisenbach. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert. A private committal service will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
