Joseph W. Nichols

NICHOLS, Joseph W. of Kalamazoo, formerly of Watervliet Died Sunday May 27, 2007. Joseph was born September 30, 1922 in Watervliet, the son of Roy and Eleanor Janike Nichols. On December 12, 1942 he was married to the former Ida Myers who survives. Also surviving are his son, Robert Elizabeth Nichols of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Andrew Nichols of Kalamazoo and Elizabeth Mark Garrett; great-grandchildren, Austin Nichols, Joshua and Rachel Garrett; brothers, Shelvin Pauline Nichols of Benton Harbor; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday June 16 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., Portage, MI 49002. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joseph?s memory may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer?s Association.
