Passed away Tuesday, July 24 at his home with his family at his side. Joseph was born October 2, 1919 in Monroeville, IN the son of Henry and Mary Barkley Lehrman and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for many years. He had worked for the Master Craft Company for 43 years and had served his country during WW II in the Unites States Navy. On February 10, 1955, he married the former Helen Grendell, who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Tim Sally Lehrman of Kalamazoo and Mike Robin Lehrman of Schoolcraft; his daughter, Bonnie Rod Enhelder of Lake Havasu City, AZ; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenny 1959; a grandson, Chad 2000; and his 12 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 12:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel. Interment will follow at Central Portage Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-6 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
