JACKSON, Jordan J.
Of Portage, Michigan Jordan, age 19, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at his home on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 from a pre-existing heart condition. He was born August 4, 1988 in Kalamazoo, the son of Jeffrey and Mary Longjohn Jackson. Jordan was 2007 graduate of Portage Central High School, and was currently attending Kalamazoo Valley Community College studying history and religion. He planned to travel and play with is "Band Family", Jason and Matt Curtis and Dominic Armstrong. Surviving are his parents, Jeff and Mary Jackson; 2 sisters, Jena Jackson and Mandi fiancé Billy Parker Jackson; 1 niece, Arabella; grandparents, Jeannine Longjohn of Portage, and Donnalee and Wilburn "Poppa" Jackson of Morris Chapel, TN; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whom he loved. Preceding him in death were his grandfather, Gabriel Longjohn, and 1 uncle, Mark Longjohn. Jordan was a loving and caring son and brother. He was a true and loyal friend. Jordan was a talented musician and songwriter. He will never be forgotten. Funeral services for Jordan will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue. Friends may visit from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Monday at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
