Died suddenly on February 14, 2011, Jordan was born July 27, 1991 in Plainwell, MI, a son of Michael and Kathy Hook Ball. A graduate of Galesburg/Augusta High School in 2009 where he excelled in sports as quarterback and captain of the football, basketball, and baseball teams. Jordan also had a love for snow boarding and hunting. As a student at Eastern Michigan University Jordan was an honors student studying psychology. He was also a pledge at Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Jordan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Norbert and Fran Hook and by his paternal grandparents, Harry and Peggy Ball and by his aunt Linda Smith. Surviving are his father Michael Yvonne Ball of Galesburg and his mother Kathy Ball of Portage; brothers and sisters, Kristin Andy Cox of Otsego, Corey Schmitt of Otsego, Johnny Schmitt of Kalamazoo, Derek Ball and fiance' Karmen of Gobles, Jordan Tyler Cody of Kalamazoo and Michael Ball of Galesburg and Jordan's long time girlfriend Beth Emery of Ann Arbor; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday at Radiant Church, 8157 "DE" Ave., Richland with Pastor Don DeYoung officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Memorial contributions in Jordan's memory may be made to the Galesburg/Augusta High School Athletic Boosters Club or to the family to help with funeral expenses.
