Jonathan Paul Walker

WALKER, Jonathan Paul Gobles Passed away Saturday, September 8, 2007. He was born February 23, 1980 in Kalamazoo, the son of John Paul and Deborah Lynn Cox Walker and had lived in the Gobles area for many years. Jonathan was employed by H & R Wood Specialties since 1999, and loved hunting, fishing and playing his guitar. He was preceded in death by his father, John; his grandfathers, Kendall Cox and Richard A. Walker; three aunts, Linda Layton, Carolyn Mannes and Pat Harmon; and two uncles, Victor Lee Walker and Bob Layton. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Deborah Steve Giesbrecht; sisters, Tracy Gettys, Julia Jonathon Jay, and Katie Giesbrecht; brother, Victor J. Kelly Walker; grandmothers, Blanche Cox and Zita Cartis England; nieces, Victoria and Allison Jay, Lauren Gettys; nephews, Justin Jay, Jacob, Nicholas and Jordan Gettys; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., with Rev. Fr. Kevin Covert officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of one?s choice.
