John T. Tsarnas

John T. Tsarnas, age 81 of Kalamazoo formerly of New York, died on January 12, 2025. He was born on July 13, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Stelios and Chrysanthi (Patrinos) Tsarnas. He graduated from Brooklyn schools. John was a New York City Transit police officer until his retirement. He then worked as a courier in the city for 15 years. In 2008, he moved to Kalamazoo to be closer to family. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was known in several Harley Davidson groups. His family includes his children: Steven (Alonda) Tsarnas, Chrysanthi Tsarnas, and John (Rosievette) Tsarnas; his grandchildren: Chrissy, Gabrielle, Julianna, and Isabella; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Frank and Yvonne Mojica. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Phillip and Tony and his sister, Elizabeth. 

Friends may visit with his family on Wednesday, January 15th from 2:00-3:00 PM, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Location, 622 S. Burdick Street, Kalamazoo, where his funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating.
