formerly of Kalamazoo, Michigan John B. Penniman, age 90, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014. He was born on May 26, 1924, in Kokomo, IN. He served in the U.S. Army from February of 1943 until honorably discharged in June of 1946. John is survived by his wife, Elnora Penniman; children, Andrew Carolyn Penniman, Katie Penniman-Moser, David Carolyn Penniman and Don Dawn Penniman; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and niece, Alice Penniman-Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Penniman. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 15th, 10:30am at Westwood United Methodist Church, 538 Nichols Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Rev.Dr. Wayne A. Price will officiate. Interment will be Monday, November 17th, 10:00am in Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. Those attending should meet in the funeral gathering area at 9:45am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kalamazoo Westwood United Methodist Church or Kalamazoo Meals on Wheels.
