DeWINTER, John P Kalamazoo John passed away Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2007 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. He was born April 28, 1958 in Kalamazoo, one of three children and only son to Joseph and Helen VerHage DeWinter. A 1977 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School, John was employed by Aero-Motive Co. in Kalamazoo for 27 years then by Total Logistic Control TLC for the past 2 years. He was also an active member of Hope Reformed Church. On January 29, 2007, John was united in marriage to the former Patricia Baker in Kalamazoo, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Michael and Matthew DeWinter; 5 step-children; his mother, Helen DeWinter of Kalamazoo; two sisters, Nancy Tom Mann of Williamston, SC and Joyce Dave Trader of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is his father, Joseph DeWinter. Funeral services for John will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Hope Reformed Church, 910 Jenks Blvd., with Rev. Kent Frens and Rev. Tim Bero officiating. Interment will follow in Alamo Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of services on Wednesday morning at church.
