of Scotts, MI John Duncan DeWaters, 59, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly, September 26, 2009. He was born November 28, 1949 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Irwin J. DeWaters and Marian Bennie DeWaters. On January 24, 1976 John married the love of his life, Diane Huff DeWaters. John is survived by one child, Jenny L. DeWaters, of Kalamazoo, a sister, Deborah Michael Wedell Guy, Palm Desert, CA, a brother, Robert Phyllis DeWaters, Plainwell, MI, and several brothers and sisters-in-laws and nieces and nephews. John loved nothing more than spending time with his loving wife and daughter, friends, and spending time daily in prayer and bible study. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, riding almost daily and taking trips. John also loved his pets, the most recent, his dogs, Kaleb and Bully. Family will greet friends Wednesday from 6-8:00 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. and from 11:30 to 12:30 at Milwood United Methodist Church, Portage Road, Kalamazoo, followed by a memorial service.
