John J. Deevers

Deevers, John J. of Scotts, MI Long Lake John passed away on March 22, 2007 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. John was born on September 2, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Ollie Rex Deevers and Sharon Ann Bercaw Deevers. John graduated from Gull Lake High School. He loved living on Long Lake, where he had resided for many years prior to his death. He also was very fond of fishing. John had been a chemical operator for the Upjohn Company now Pfizer in Kalamazoo for approximately ten years, and was most recently employed by Stryker in Kalamazoo. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. John was preceded in death by his parents, and by an uncle, Charles Deevers. He is survived by a sister, Lisa Deevers of Kalamazoo; a niece, Danielle; several nephews; an uncle, Keith Bercaw of Cecil, Ohio; an aunt, Linda Donald Teusch of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; an aunt, Beverly Bercaw of Paulding, Ohio; an aunt, Joanne Dean of Bull Head City, Arizona; an uncle, Dale Alta Deevers of Orlando, Florida; an aunt, Barbara Bill Benedict of Atlanta, Georgia; a great uncle, Robert Virginia Zedaker of Stryker, Ohio; several cousins; and special friends, Richard and Nancy Culp of Kalamazoo. John will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Private family services will be conducted at a later date in Ohio.
