John Cook, Jr

COOK, JOHN JR. John Cook, Jr. age 84, went home to be with his Lord on May 25, 2015. John was born August 12, 1930 in Kalamazoo, the son of John and Henrietta Klooster Cook. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army from 1951-53. For many years he was employed as a firefighter with the Colorado Fish & Wildlife Services. He was a member of the Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church. John was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Henrietta Nap, Effie Ford, Hilda Brooks, Annetta Richardson, Fred Cook and Clarence Cook. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 11:00-12:00 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. where a service to celebrate John's life will be held at 12:00 PM Monday with Pastor Phil Kok officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's memory may be directed to the Parkinson's Foundation.
