BORN, John H.
Of Comstock, Michigan Went home to be with his Lord on March 25, 2009 at Borgess Hospital. John was born January 6, 1930 in Lawrence, MI, the son of Henry and Josephine Wood Born and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Comstock V.F.W. Post #6252. John was a self employed building contractor until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He attended the First Free Will Baptist Church in Comstock and was a loving husband, father grandfather and great-grandfather and uncle. John was preceded in death by his wife Patricia in 2004 and by 3 brothers. Surviving are children; Janis Lauren French, Kathleen Chet Padgett, Linda Frank Bianco, John R. Vicky Born, Ronald Luann Underly, Jr. and Christine Underly; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a good friend Greta. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the First Free Will Baptist Church, 630 Moline St. with Pastor John Vick officiating. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery with military honors by the Comstock V.F.W. Post #6252. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
