John Thomas Beal

John Thomas Beal Jr., age 64, of Portage, MI, died Sunday, April 8th 2018 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI surrounded by his family. He was born on July 21, 1953 in Huntingdon, TN. John served as a medic in the Army for 9 years. He is survived by his wife, Paula Beal of Portage, MI; 4 daughters: Dianne (Sky) Johnson of Paw Paw, Tracy (TR) Harring of Kalamazoo, Laurie Beal (Chuck Perkins) also of Kalamazoo and Katie Beal (Jacob Morris) of Cooper Twp.; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Sue Fryling, Martha Wells and Betty Hindman; 2 brothers, David Beal and Michael Beal and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his brother, Otto Beal and his parents, Ava Gray (Altom) Beal and John Thomas Beal Sr. Visitation will be from 12-8 PM on Saturday, April 14 at Reed's Chapel Funeral Home, 302 West Church St., Lexington, TN. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery in Wildersville, TN.
