MAGERMAN, Johanna W.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died September 22, 2008 in Kalamazoo. She was born April 6, 1922 in Chicago to the late William and Mary Boersma VanDerMolen. She was united in marriage to William Magerman in Kalamazoo in 1972, who preceded her in death in November of 1990. Johanna loved to volunteer at Greenwood Elementary School helping students with their reading. She also volunteered with the Kalamazoo Humane Society. Johanna is survived by her daughters, Denise Jerry Hearn of Bradenton, FL and Jan Tom Schommer of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Rick Porter, Krissi Darren Barrow, Bill Edie Porter, Calli Matt Hincher and Jeff Kim Schommer; several great grandchildren; sister, Chris Scheffler, and; brother, Lawrence VanDerMolen; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death were, grandson, Steve Porter, and sister, Freda VanDerPloeg. A time of gathering will be held, Thursday, September 25th from 2-5:00PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
