Joel C Ward

WARD, Joel C. Parchment Passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2007 at his residence. Joel was born April 17, 1985 in Kalamazoo, the son of Charles and Dawn Champion Ward. He attended elementary school in Vicksburg and Middle and High School in Parchment. Joel enjoyed fishing, playing basketball, video games and ?hangin with his friends?. Surviving are his mother Dawn Emig and husband Terry of Cooper; his father Charles Ward of Portage; grand parents, Mark and Rosalyn Champion of Galesburg, Don and Phyllis Emig of Cooper and Edith Ward of Portage; sisters and brothers, Chelsea Ward, Kyle Ward, Collin Emig, Jason Michelle Emig and Steve Katie Emig; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held at 11:00 o?clock Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Pastor Ray Brandon of the Northbridge Church officiating. Interment in Cooper Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in Joel?s name be designated to the Jim Gilmore Treatment Center, 1910 Shaffer St., Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
