Joel D. Frederickson, Sr

FREDERICKSON, Joel Douglas, Sr. Of Portage Joel left us peacefully Thursday, October 11, 2012. He was born November 2, 1943 to George and Dorothy Frederickson, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his previous wife Joyce Frederickson; two brothers, Robert Frederickson and Barrie Frederickson; and father-in-law, Charles Watson. He leaves behind his wife, Carin Frederickson; children, Joel Jr. Stacie Frederickson, Kristie Dan Berryman, Brian Maria Poppen, Andrea Vincent Paladino, and Erika Nick Cutler; seven grandchildren, Grace & Faith Frederickson, Joshua & Leah Berryman, Rebekah Poppen and Madison & Layla Cutler. Joel was employed at Humphrey Products, a Portage Firefighter for 17 yrs and a bus driver for Portage Public Schools for the last 32 yrs. He was a member of the Moose and Eagle Lodges, enjoyed golfing, Lions Football, trips to the casino and going out to dinner. Family will receive friends at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. from 6-8 PM on Wednesday and from 10-11 AM on Thursday with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM. Private inurnment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
