Kalamazoo Joan Gertrude Riepma went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 9, 2009. She had been a resident of Tendercare of Portage since November of 2002. She was born to Albert and Jennie Kuilema Riepma on May 12, 1921 in Kalamazoo. Both of her brothers, Paul Riepma and John Riepma preceded her in death this past December. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Gloria Riepma of Vero Beach, FL and Jo Riepma of South Haven, MI; six nieces and nephews and their families; and many friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Kenneth Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Third Christian Reformed Church, 2400 Winchell Ave. www.langelands.com 343-1508
