Portage, MI Died Monday afternoon August 15, 2011. JoAnn was born October 18, 1934 in Welch, West Virginia a daughter of George and Lily Purdue Register. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 21 years coming from Marquette, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Brenda Flodin in 2000; a brother, Carl Register; and a sister, Kathleen Schultz. On November 25, 1954, she was united in marriage to Kenton C. Olson who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Cindy Olson and Michael Olson both of Portage; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 3 o'clock Friday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the chapel. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
