Richland Passed away October 30, 2011 at his home. Jerry was born July 26, 1951 in Kalamazoo, the son of Delbert and Helen Rantz McClellan and lived in the Kalamazoo area for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Meredith Macpherson; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Chastain. Jerry is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Sheldon McClellan; a daughter, Mishawna Marie Timothy Allen Hamen of Indianapolis, IN; a son, Jesse McClellan Lea Leonard of Richland; a step-son, Brian Johnson of Nashville, TN; a grandson, Jaycee McClellan; a sister, Yvonne Michael James O'Brien of Naples, FL; a brother-in-law, Robert William Macpherson of Kalamazoo and a sister, Sharon Louise Chastain, of Kalamazoo; three step-children, Tammy Sue Sheldon, Debbie Ann Sheldon and George Edward Sheldon, all of Kalamazoo; six step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 4:00 PM, in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway, with Rev. John Vick officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, beginning at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the West Michigan Cancer Center of Kalamazoo.
