CLARK, Jennie E.
of Kalamazoo Passed away December 11, 2009 at Tendercare of Westwood. She was born November 30, 1927 in Kalamazoo, to the late Lambert and Elizabeth Yonkman Delger. Jennie was united in marriage on September 20, 1947, to John W. Clark, who survives. She was a longtime member of Third Reformed Church where she volunteered her services in the church library and with senior card ministry, sending countless greeting cards over the years. She also enjoyed creating and baking wedding cakes for friends and family. Also surviving Jennie are her children, Linda Herman Veld of Battle Creek, Nancy Douglas Phillips of Kalamazoo and Jeffrey Marlene Clark of Romona, CA.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Garret Betty Delger and John Marj Delger; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, John W. Clark, Jr., and; daughter-in-law, Lory Clark, both in 1985; and brother, Ben Delger. Family will greet friends, Tuesday from 6-8:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Services will take place Wednesday, 10:30 in the Chapel at Centerpoint Church, 2345 N. 10th Street, Rev Darwin Vander Wal, officiating. Following a luncheon, burial will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association or to Hospice Care of SW Michigan.
