RUSH, Jeffrey J.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Jeff was born on February 16, 1969 in Mt. Pleasant, MI and passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. As a small boy, he moved to Traverse City, MI where he spent summers building sandcastles and winters playing in the snow. As he grew older, he spent his time camping, swimming, playing the trombone, and earning his Eagle Scout rank. He graduated from Traverse City High School in 1987, from CMU in 1993, and later received an MSW from WMU. He lived most of his adult life in the Kalamazoo area where he was active in the community and with his church. He was preceded in death by his father, James J. Rush, his grandparents, two uncles and an aunt. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Ida Frosh and Charles Shields of Rockford, MI, his sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer Rush and Peter Stevenson, and their daughter Audrey, of Peterborough, NH, as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to American Diabetes Association.
