Of Kalamazoo Passed away unexpectantly Sunday morning, July 15, 2012. Jeff was born in Dowagiac, MI the son of Charles and Carol Lantz Ply and had been a resident in the Kalamazoo area. He was a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; and had worked for Bronson Hospital since the age of 16. Jeff was an avid fisherman; and holds 16 world class records for freshwater fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family; whether it was trips to Florida, Las Vegas, or other various activities. Surviving is his special friend, Cathy Gannon; his parents, Charles Carol Ply; sister and brother, Debra Mark Saunders, James Mary Ply; nieces and nephews, Laramie, Krista, Nathan, Benjamin, John, Michael, and Amelia; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held at 11:00am Friday, July 20, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street with Rev. Dr. Wayne Price officiating. Friends may meet the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Westside Chapel. Private family interment will be held at a later date.
